Constellations, Mixed Media works
This series transforms the traditional zodiac constellations into vibrant, spatial compositions through mixed media techniques, connecting star-points to create colorful fields. These twelve artworks, each sized at 68" x 68", honor the rich historical tapestry of the zodiac archetypes, drawing inspiration from mythology, astronomy, and astrology. They are part of the larger body of work titled, Reimagining Constellations.
Mixed Media works
The Mudra series (48x60” and 60x48”) explores communication through hand gesture as a symbol of purpose and intention. Intention has the power to transform and it is my wish that humans come together in the name of freedom for all, and radical change to protect humanity and the planet. Love and connection is a central theme in my work and the geometric heart radiates as an iconic element, central to last piece entitled, Be Like A Lotus (48x48”).
Woodcut Prints
I love to carve wood and printmaking is one of my favorite processes. Most of my prints are large in scale (48x48”/24x24“). Geometric crystalline shapes create floral mandalas that energetically radiate outward. Patterns of interconnected hearts create a lattice of bold shapes that carry a sense of playfulness and warmth. These handmade woodcuts are printed on linen, muslin and mulberry paper. Varied color combinations and designs give an appearance that feels both organic, yet structured and modern.
FLIP Installation
FLIP is a pop-art-infused political call to action. This interactive art installation is designed to bring communities together by expressing What Flips You Off? Participants anonymously draw on copies of an extraction of the original work, F-U Red Blue, a red and blue middle finger, expressing my anger toward our fractured democracy and the toxic polarization that exists in the U.S. today. It is a call to activate public consciousness around coming together for the greater good of the people, despite our divergent political views. Individuals mount their FLIP on the wall which quickly fills with everyone’s individual piece, generating a wall of community expression. We are always looking for activation locations. Contact us.
